Narrative Should Be Certified Brave Publisher For Creating Great Attention To The People.

MALAY BANERJEE ·
In Today's Commpettetive Market narrative should bring something new to its users. I think narrative administration should try to make narrative as a Certified Brave Publisher.. If it is happened then its users get additional brave token for using narrative platform. With this more and more people will jump to the Narrative and Narrative definitely go to the moon very soon.. Thanks Everyone..

We had 2FA support back when we launched the original Alpha version of Narrative, but then had to remove it when we did an upgrade. We do plan to re-add support for 2FA in the future.

This is great! May I ask if my suggestion above could be implemented as additional option? Meaning, if one wants a blocking period (and several automatical messages) for withdrawals and changes of the NEO address, he can choose it but it would not be the default? Thank you!

Narrative Should Used Best Algorithm For Showing All Contents In Home/ Discovery Page With Equal Status. .

MALAY BANERJEE ·
According Narrative Headquarters Its Ok that we can look everyone's post in discovered page. But question is how. Today volume of all contents is low but after sometime narrative have lots of contents some are old and we gets plenty of new contents posted every minute.. So narrative should have certain Algorithm which distinguished old and new and some evergreen quality contents. At the same time when numbers of post per hour increased then how all contents are visible in our home page and...

@MALAY BANERJEE I think a separate random stream is a neat idea ... gives older posts another swing at getting noticed, without interfering with the other streams.

Narrative should add the feature of Reblogged of post .

MALAY BANERJEE ·
Thanks for everyone here on narrative platform who are continuously contributing great development in narrative and adding new feature in narrative to make it's better contents marketing than other social media. I have my suggestion which can make naarative more competitive than others. I think narrative should add Reblogging / Remind of post in homepage of every contents. So that anybody like the contents he should Reblogged the post and the post immediately comes to the person's personal...

Hi @MALAY BANERJEE Some kind of reblogging might be good, but I think with the platform so new, it would be better to see how the voting system holds up over time on it's own. And earlier it was suggested that creators have tipping jars, which might do just as well as reblogging as far as rewards go ...

Organised a Narrative Festival is better idea for promoting Narrative Platform.

MALAY BANERJEE ·
Narrative platform is very new.Only a few peoples know about the narrative platform. Narrative administration should promote narrative in different countries across the world. The best way to promote narrative by organising a festival in the different city across the world each and every year. The festival is organised by narrative administration where all great narrators invited from different countries. By this way, narrative can get the attention of all great creators and publication...

Feedback from a niche owner I introduced to Narrative

Malkazoid ·
Over the past 12 months, I've been wavering about whether the current execution of the platform is of a standard to warrant reaching out to people about Narrative. After the recent release, I've reached a conclusion - trying to involve other people with the project currently is almost certainly a waste of time, and a waste of that precious first impression. Denis Wallez became aware of Narrative when I started posting about the project on G+. I've had a number of exchanges with him on G+...

Great post @Malkazoid . As the second most active person on the BOTH Narrative platforms, I very much concur with what he has said. One, only has to immerse themselves in another burgeoning community similar to Narrative, to understand immediately, how it is universally understood that pay-to-play or specifically pay-to-say, is not the way to get to mass adoption, in the early stages. @Narrative This isn't a game. It isn't am experiment. Many of us gave you real money out of our real lives.

@malkazoid I appreciate what you’re saying and respect your opinion, but I don’t agree with your assessment of the project. I’ve been involved with a number of start-up projects, from apps to non-profits to large websites to video games and am not at all dismayed by where Narrative currently is. I think it’s important to acknowledge that we are in ALPHA. Obviously development stages are somewhat arbitrary, but when I think back to when, for example, I was alpha testing one of my currently...

Finally, I got around to reading the discussion. Denis does make some good points, despite going too far in his accusations. Like @Banter , I don't get the flak over paying for validation. It's a minor issue compared to other user experience issues. Some things could change on that end perhaps, but unowned niche content is a much bigger issue, IMO. Bigger than that even, is not listening to your Alpha testers. It seems like there are quite a few early Alpha testers who are upset about some...

Re: How Narrative Beats Minds by a Mile

Malkazoid ·
I hear you Slaz. I suppose it depends upon the potential Narrative sees in the platform. If they see in it the potential to become a much bigger business than their previous activities, and if they recognize that open source can help fulfill that potential, they may recognize the value of going open source at some point in the future. We are often faced with the choice of letting go of things we once valued, in order to make room for things that will suit us better going forwards and outpace...

Re: How Narrative Beats Minds by a Mile

Slaz ·
Highly unlikely. Narrative’s Alpha was initially built upon a closed-source codebase (of the Hoop.la platform used here) for which people pay subscriptions to use. The only situation for when I believe the team might consider going open-source is when Narrative is on the edge of failing, but of course we’re all hoping for it to succeed.

Re: Everyone In Narrative Should Buy Atleast 1000 NRV Token.

New Social Media ·
Dear Malay, I think that we should focus on advertisement and the quantity and quality of the content first, then the value of NRVE will increase automatically. And I am also very bullish on the longterm value of NRVE (some reasons: https://community.narrative.or...-ahead-for-narrative ) So in my opinion what we all should do now in the remaining two weeks before and also after the launch of the Beta: 1. find as many new users for the platform as possible, using other social media platforms...

In the home stretch!

Hey everyone- Just wanted to give a quick little (informal) update for the community. Things are really starting to come together on the platform. We've got personal content streams (based on niches you follow) working very well, as well as the Discover page (where you can see good content from across the network). Still wrangling a bit with niche content streams (and more specifically how we organize all of the components of a niche). Here's a little sneak peak of a working "Discover" page...

And here is what the "home" page is looking like. This is the page you will land on when you first sign into Narrative. It is content stream that reflects everything you follow. As you can see, there are four default views for the content stream: 1. Featured: posts that are either trending or high quality 2. Trending: posts that are trending 3. Quality: posts that are high quality, based on community rating 4. Recent: chronological listing of posts by date Note that you will also have a...

In other words, is the quality or trending sections only going to show me what is voted quality in the niches i follow. or through out the platform

Re: In the home stretch!

I think the Discover page is where discovery will happen, though it would be nice for something of that nature to exist right on the home page too. Youtube's list of related videos down the right hand side of the screen is a great way to allow other materials to penetrate people's bubbles. Maybe that can be part of the layout of the content page: you have the article front and center, and a side bar of related articles ordered by decreasing relevance... so other less related topics start to...

What about content that doesn't include an image? How will that be displayed on the home page?
Reply

Re: In the home stretch!

Ted ·
One of the requirements of being "featured" is that the post have at least one image. Thus, for the "featured" list, all posts will necessarily have an image. For the other modes (trending/quality/recent) we display in more of a list mode that is not impacted by whether the post has an image or not.

Seems like you guys & gals nailed it with the homepage layout. It looks clean yet doesn't waste screen space, centralizes content, and balances out the users followed niches with featured content. One of the annoyances of traditional social media feeds, like Twitter's, is that they go way too far outside of the users self-blown bubble. On that platform, I just wish to see a mix of new tweets from people I follow, not hundreds of irrelevant likes and tweets from what your followers...

Re: In the home stretch!

It's not "featured" in the way that you might think. It is the automated "featured" I have mentioned before as a standard way to filter content streams-- basically, all of the content in the niche that is trending or high quality (based on community ratings). The curated version of "featured" is not supported (yet).

If you go over to Narrative, create a draft and just save and exit, without publishing it you'll be returned to your draft list. Does your new draft show the correct time? Or is it an hour off?
