Referral Links!

Does the referral link to invite the friends to join the waitlist change in every round or it stays the same?

Your referral link stays the same; feel free to keep using it! And thanks for sharing!

Great. How many rounds do we have until we launch the beta? I really loved the concept of what we are trying to achieve here, so gotta do what you gotta do!

We haven't set a specific end date for the waitlist/referral system. Our team is continuing to work hard on the next milestone towards beta, which is the moderator center .

Re: Friend's Referral

David Dreezer ·
We don't currently track that, we simply send out an email when you refer someone, and while there is a record when someone uses your link for score/reward purposes there really isn't a level of detail. The wait list isn't expected to last past beta, and any referral system that may be in place after beta could well look entirely different than the current format. That said, you can always out a suggestion into the system where others can look and comment and our developers can see them.

Round 4 of early access underway

Melanie Mathos ·
Round 3 of early access closed in record time and Round 4 is underway. What is most exciting is that more than half of the signups this round came from referrals from our community of Narrators! (THANK YOU!) The Referral Rewards pool for Round 4 targeting 1,000 members is up to 9,000 NRVE, or 9 NRVE per referral. You can now track progress right here in the Community via the Waitlist widget on the right. There will be a Referral Reward bonus of 5,500 NRVE upon beta launch distributed in...

Friend's Referral

I was just wondering if it is not important to see my friends who have joined through my Referral link. I am target marketing them, it will be nice to know who to follow-up and for why.

Re: Friend's Referral

Malkazoid ·
Hi @Osita , I also requested this feature here on the forums, but like you, I simply posted about it. I think @David Dreezer is saying we should use the customer support area to post about it, to make it a more official request. Would you like to post there, or should I? If you post there, I will support you! It is super important for us to know which of our friends have joined. I don't just want to be some sort of marketer for Narrative: I want to be a good host to those of my friends I...

Hi, The referral program has ended and the rewards have been paid out. If you participated you'll find the rewards listed in your profile under Rewards, Transactions. And thank you for participating. We may do another referral at some time, but there is nothing on the schedule as of now. We will make announcements if we do it again. Thank you!

Guys do you have some method to prove the referrals are legit?

Jhoe ·
I mean, anybody can create many emails and get referral points, isn't ?

Re: Guys do you have some method to prove the referrals are legit?

David Dreezer ·
I suppose that someone could do that. We're not doing KYC on them, so no we don't have a way to prove that each email is a real unique individual person. Just positivity and a good outlook.

They can see IP address where the application is made from. If someone invites multiple account with "temp email" and all have same IP those must be fake.

Seeing friends who joined

Malkazoid ·
Hi all, Quick question: would there be any objections to showing members which of their friends have joined through their referral link? Right now we are told how many of our friends joined, but not who they are. It leaves me wondering! I have friends on Narrative but I don't know who they are! Exciting and mysterious, but at the end of the day, perhaps also not so beneficial. I'd love to connect with some of them and share some of the buzz with them.

I inadvertently broke the referral rules when creating a second account for my pseudonym

Christina Gleason ·
Is there any way to make it so this doesn't count as a strike against me? I was just reading the FAQs that mentioned "duplication and fraud," but hadn't even thought about creating my new account in those terms. Creating a second account was recommended to me by Rosemary (Founder) in my earlier Pseudonyms post, and I finally remembered to actually make that second account after posting my referral link to Facebook for my friends and fellow writers. (Click!) If referring my pseudonym account...

You're fine creating a second account; however, you're correct that we don't want people creating additional accounts and then networking their referrals to game the referral system. Would you mind emailing [email protected] so that we can address your specific issue in private? Thanks!

Founders and Patrons: How to Earn Referral Rewards

Melanie Mathos ·
We want to make sure everyone is aware of the updates to Chaucer that will enable Founders and Patrons to earn Referral Rewards for recruiting signups to the digital waiting list. To earn rewards, you must invite people using your personal referral link. This can be found in your Chaucer profile , where you can also send email invitations and share via social media. In addition, you'll be able to track how many people have signed up via your link, how much NRVE you have earned and how close...

Referral Programme

Debbie Meier ·
I understand the Referral Programme has now come to an end. But I do think that a new type of Referral Programme could be very beneficial to the Narrative Platform. Although I understand that the reward would no doubt need to be lower than pre-Beta, I do think that having a RP could encourage users to keep on promoting the platform and help it gain additional members. Just a simple type of recognition of those who help attract new members would probably be motivation enough. Would it be...

As did @Emily Barnett , I started sending the sign up link to people before I dug deeper and read that referrals work via a personal referral link. It would really be helpful to inform folks of this in the original post in this thread. It could also be mentioned in: https://blog.narrative.network...e-alpha-e5aa67c52bc6 Instead, right now, the above article has a link in it to learn more about referrals, and only after following that link is it revealed that there is such a thing as a...

Some feedback on the post ( https://blog.narrative.network...e-alpha-e5aa67c52bc6 ) "niches are communal posting areas that create unified, relevant content streams on unique topics." Is it just me or does this description of niches seem overly wordy and convoluted? I should know - I have to constantly watch myself for the same sin. Suggested replacement: "A niche is a home for content of a specific topic". I think it would pay to be as simple and direct as possible in describing this core...

Really terrific! Very excited about the referral program being implemented. Now I shall really get busy!!! Great work @Narrative Network Team ! One tiny tiny suggestion...on the front landing page you may want to consider adding the moderators make 6% and content contributors earn 60 % pro rata like you did the niche ownership. I am making posts to complete newbies and a few already signed up. it would be helpful if the financial incentives were front and centre. My bad...I didn't read about...

Hi. On the referral link that we are given, there is no info about Narrative. nothing...many of the people I am sending this too are completely unfamiliar with the platform but are bloggers, writers etc. this seems pretty cryptic...no sort of pun intended...well maybe a little. Can you at least add a link so to the main site so people can find out more about the project. This first impression may not be appealing.

Hi Bryan! You are correct in the fact that there is not currently an email preview available in the Alpha referral program nor the ability to edit. Separately, the Narrative Community is not part of the referral program at this time. Hope that helps clarify!
