Narrative Should Be Certified Brave Publisher For Creating Great Attention To The People.

MALAY BANERJEE ·
In Today's Commpettetive Market narrative should bring something new to its users. I think narrative administration should try to make narrative as a Certified Brave Publisher.. If it is happened then its users get additional brave token for using narrative platform. With this more and more people will jump to the Narrative and Narrative definitely go to the moon very soon.. Thanks Everyone..

New blog post: The Narrative Manifesto

Rosemary ·
Heads up everyone! We've kicked off a new blog series with the release of our Narrative Manifesto today. Each week I'll be highlighting a new section. This document is what we were previously referring to as a "constitution," but as it came together it really felt more like a manifesto...a rallying cry to gather others around the principles and mission of Narrative. via GIPHY

Re: So they put a niche auction that the narrative owner has automated to win only the

Banter ·
Hi @cara , I'd like to address at least one of the points you were talking about. Niche's are seen as public areas, not your own private very special place. Anyone can suggest a Niche, and the auction system determines the fair market value of the Niche. You could create a 'publication' (formerly known as a brand), without any auction competition, but the reward structure is setup differently. Publication owners wouldn't derive rewards from owning the Publication. However, they would have...

Re: New blog post: The Narrative Manifesto

Hi Rosemary, This on-going series is great - I'm hoping it is reaching a lot of folks and helping them get a feel for Narrative. A general comment on transparency, intended as food for thought. The Manifesto rightly touches upon privacy, but does not comment on the privacy implications of votes or reward distributions being publicly visible by all. In the real world, voting and income are private matters. There may be a good argument to be made to the effect that the type of voting on...

Search engine optimisation for Narrative

This thread is to help alert the @Narrative Network Team to areas of SEO where improvements are needed. I'll kick things off with an example: Google 'narrative roadmap', or click here The very first result is a very outdated icobench.com page on Narrative , that has not been updated since Narrative left the Ethereum blockchain to switch to NEO. Narrative's own blog post on the roadmap update comes second... People interested in the project are being deterred by following the top search...

Narrative Should Used Best Algorithm For Showing All Contents In Home/ Discovery Page With Equal Status. .

According Narrative Headquarters Its Ok that we can look everyone's post in discovered page. But question is how. Today volume of all contents is low but after sometime narrative have lots of contents some are old and we gets plenty of new contents posted every minute.. Hi @MALAY BANERJEE Some kind of reblogging might be good, but I think with the platform so new, it would be better to see how the voting system holds up over time on it's own. Narrative design style observations

Malkazoid ·
There are no doubt people with design experience among us by now - please pitch in with any helpful observations you might have on the look of Narrative as it unfolds. To kick things off, here's my first design observation - the style adopted for the Narrative imagery seems to work well as long as there are multiple components building a larger scene. The people and objects are so simple and somewhat unappealing - when on their own, or in groups of less than 3 or 4, this lets them down. But...

I think I found the perfect solution to Narrative's reward payout issues!

Indeed - busy isn't always better. It is better when the subcomponents don't stand up well on their own. Apparently you like the subcomponents on their own, and that's great... I do agree that the look is memorable and unique - but that doesn't mean there is no room for improvement. To be more precise - what I like about the characters is their 60's Star Trek feel, and wouldn't want to lose that. I just don't feel the following can hold up on its own to represent the project. When you go to...

Intriguing comparison. I've felt like Minds is more "social network with blog functionality attached" than Narrative is. And I will admit to having used the free tokens to promote things occasionally, though I don't think it's really worth paying for.

Re: How Narrative Beats Minds by a Mile

Malkazoid ·
I'm not opposed to the ability for content to be given more visibility if people pay for it - but I think if we do something like that, the implementation should be thought through carefully. The way Minds has done it leaves me with the scummy feeling that unless you have a big following, the only way for your content to rise in their algorithms is for it to be boosted. There is a fine line between surfacing quality based on reputation and quality, and creating an environment where people...

Okay good point. I did kinda feel like comparing Narrative to Minds was like comparing apples to oranges anyway, and sorry if I implied that people should be able to pay to boost their content. I feel like doing such a thing would drive away people who don't have a lot of money to pay for promotion anyway. I'd rather reward people who can create quality content.

Here is something to consider, and it's only a theory. This is for the community, because I am pretty sure @Narrative has looked at the idea already, whether it is their intention ...I have no idea. Boosts...or lets use the more accurate term advertising your post. If this is what the "featured post" refers to, well then it has to run through the 2 day advertising approval list. So if this is actually a component of the platform, that posts can be advertised as a featured post, well if it is...

I think your comment highlights just how many nuances and considerations there are surrounding advertising and how it will work. If you pay to boost your post, does that simply make it rise in some sort of final visibility score? Does it guarantee that your post will be seen by X amount of eyeballs, with a degree of targeting to a tailored audience? Does it mean your post appears in a specific type of display for boosted content, that is on the main home page, and/or the discover page of...

I literally just went to ICOalert and typed in "social platform" - there were more than 10 or so but Narrative just seemed like the most solid option. I am also looking at Sapien. I blog from time to time so I want all of my content to be decentralized and AWAY from those long arms at Facebook and similar. Re: I think I found the perfect solution to Narrative's reward payout issues!

AussieNinja ·
I actually don't mind this idea at all. I'd probably want the 'Normal Blog Post' to expand to 101 to 500 words, but I definitely like the idea. There is potential for members to just add in junk words if they're trying to cash in on less popular payment groups, but it would be up to the community to downvote members that do that. Narrative definitely suffers from the problem of trying to be everything to everyone, and a solution like this might help satisfy more people.

I know Joe was kind of spitballing word counts as suggestions, but Allen is closer to what would be the most sensible. The company I started 10 years ago has been writing content for SEO/marketing departments and agencies for businesses that include Fortune 500 companies. 500-700 words is pretty much industry standard, and my life as a blogger (who has attended and spoken at blogging conferences for over a decade) has told me that 300-600 words is about what readers expect when reading blog...
