Narrative Should Be Certified Brave Publisher For Creating Great Attention To The People.

MALAY BANERJEE ·
In Today's Commpettetive Market narrative should bring something new to its users. I think narrative administration should try to make narrative as a Certified Brave Publisher.. If it is happened then its users get additional brave token for using narrative platform. With this more and more people will jump to the Narrative and Narrative definitely go to the moon very soon.. Thanks Everyone..

New blog post: The Narrative Manifesto

Rosemary ·
Heads up everyone! We've kicked off a new blog series with the release of our Narrative Manifesto today. Each week I'll be highlighting a new section. This document is what we were previously referring to as a "constitution," but as it came together it really felt more like a manifesto...a rallying cry to gather others around the principles and mission of Narrative. via GIPHY

Just a small note, for what it is worth: I'm not a fan of the blue person standing with their hand on a large journal. Nothing against blue people per se - it just isn't an appealing graphic. It is the graphic that shows up when one goes to share this Medium Manifesto post on Facebook - the one everyone will see when you post about it to your feed there. I can't easily post it here, but I'm sure the @Narrative Network Team will know the one. Narrative has huge potential - that graphic goes...

Hi Rosemary, This on-going series is great - I'm hoping it is reaching a lot of folks and helping them get a feel for Narrative. A general comment on transparency, intended as food for thought. The Manifesto rightly touches upon privacy, but does not comment on the privacy implications of votes or reward distributions being publicly visible by all. In the real world, voting and income are private matters. There may be a good argument to be made to the effect that the type of voting on...

Today volume of all contents is low but after sometime narrative have lots of contents some are old and we gets plenty of new contents posted every minute.. So narrative should have certain Algorithm which distinguished old and new and some evergreen quality contents. At the same time when numbers of post per hour increased then how all contents are visible in our home page and...

Organised a Narrative Festival is better idea for promoting Narrative Platform.

Narrative platform is very new.Only a few peoples know about the narrative platform. Narrative administration should promote narrative in different countries across the world. The best way to promote narrative by organising a festival in the different city across the world each and every year. The festival is organised by narrative administration where all great narrators invited from different countries. By this way, narrative can get the attention of all great creators and publication...

Thanks for everyone here on narrative platform who are continuously contributing great development in narrative and adding new feature in narrative to make it's better contents marketing than other social media. Hi @MALAY BANERJEE Some kind of reblogging might be good, but I think with the platform so new, it would be better to see how the voting system holds up over time on it's own. And earlier it was suggested that creators have tipping jars, which might do just as well as reblogging as far as rewards go ...

Narrative design style observations

Malkazoid ·
There are no doubt people with design experience among us by now - please pitch in with any helpful observations you might have on the look of Narrative as it unfolds. To kick things off, here's my first design observation - the style adopted for the Narrative imagery seems to work well as long as there are multiple components building a larger scene. The people and objects are so simple and somewhat unappealing - when on their own, or in groups of less than 3 or 4, this lets them down. But...

Indeed - busy isn't always better. It is better when the subcomponents don't stand up well on their own. Apparently you like the subcomponents on their own, and that's great... I do agree that the look is memorable and unique - but that doesn't mean there is no room for improvement. To be more precise - what I like about the characters is their 60's Star Trek feel, and wouldn't want to lose that. I just don't feel the following can hold up on its own to represent the project. When you go to...

I'm REALLY disappointed in @Ted for voting to reject my Niche topic. I'm wracking my brains to give him ( and the others that have followed suit that I've had very positive interactions with like @Harj ) some meager benefit of doubt. Reviewing the brief instructions at the top of the Niche Ballot page are some instructions on how to approach Niche voting. One column for upvoting , and one for rejecting proposed Niches. Still wrangling a bit with niche content streams (and more specifically how we organize all of the components of a niche). Here's a little sneak peak of a working "Discover" page...

What you see is by design. @Ted entered his max bid (something larger than 7001). The way the system works is it will continue to bid one more than the current winning bid of the auction, so long as that bid is <= Ted's max bid. Everything here is working as expected. This works just like an eBay auction would.

Ok I am seeing problems with the niche distribution process. It's not fair enough for my liking. This is the first problem I have had with Narrative. This is not a good process. It should be first come first serve, not bidding. If I come up with an idea why should other people be allowed to take it? Give me the option to take it or leave it. Allow for the transfer-of-ownership of niche's. A niche marketplace. High standards! Innovation!

@cara But the auctioning process is what determines and creates the value that keeps the system rolling and rewards distributed. The idea is that Niches that are expected to have a broader audience will generate more revenue, and as such these Niches should have more challenge during auctioning, upping the price in the process. However, current activity levels usually leave Niche bids unchallenged. I don’t know exactly why @Ted wanted a niche as significant as Sports, being a co-founder of...

Auctions seem very wrong to me. Oh, you have a good idea? Cool lets see who wants it! (I am always super negative when I see flaws, Narrative is a great project so there is only one thing to complain about, that's impressive actually) Ask me about Steemit and see what I say about that, haha don't do that. Steemit is awful and their team has no vision. Narrative is the first crypto social media platform that I approve of.

Haha. I am a well-reputed member in steem community. I agree Steem got lots of issues. But, Steem is the 1st blockchain in social media & Almost all Social media inspired from Steem. Narrative solving some issues occurred in steem. Don't get me wrong, Once published, You will see how people will game the system. No system is perfect and people always get the way to cheat. Hi @cara , I'd like to address at least one of the points you were talking about. Niche's are seen as public areas, not your own private very special place. Anyone can suggest a Niche, and the auction system determines the fair market value of the Niche. You could create a 'publication' (formerly known as a brand), without any auction competition, but the reward structure is setup differently. Publication owners wouldn't derive rewards from owning the Publication. However, they would have...

When someone purchases a Niche, they own it. Anyone can post in it, sure. Only one person will own it. There should be an option to "buy now", lets say for $150. Or it will go into the Auction at a lower price. If I suggested the Niche, let me buy it. lol

Re: Spanish and German versions of Narrative?

Malkazoid ·
Hi Cara, I can't say with any real authority what the plan is for other languages - this is not the priority at the moment since the @Narrative Network Team must first focus on launching a successful English language platform. So they have not communicated much about this. That said, I'm not sure why there would be any reason to not use the NRVE token? What about it would be different for users who speak other languages?
Reply

Re: Spanish and German versions of Narrative?

Ted ·
Hi @cara - Yes, the plan is to use the same NRVE token for Spanish and German, and just about every other language that is added in the future. As the white paper states, however, we may do separate tokens for some languages that may need some custom approaches (and we mention the Chinese and Indian markets specifically). But, in general, the plan is to use NRVE for as many languages as possible. Each language will have its own unique set of niches, as well. Hope this helps!

Nice - I enjoyed the read and will share. At some point, I'd also love to see the narrative pushed that joining Narrative and its decentralised social network is a concrete step towards safeguarding democracy. The sovereignty of powerful nations is being undermined by targeted foreign campaigns to influence their elections, undermining the democratic process. These campaigns rely on some of the flaws of the current big social networks, in order to function. Narrative might not be immune to...

@Malkazoid , it happens rarely...but I disagree with this view I think the rewards transparency is critical, and one of the things I really like about the whole economic model. Anyone can see plainly what rewards are being generated / collected / distributed. I think it is incumbent upon everyone that participates in this new digital economy to understand basic security principals and how to keep their money safe. This is the future now...we will all have an address or multiple, where people...

It is not as simple as just keeping keys safe. Knowledge that certain individuals hold significant amounts of wealth that can be transferred electronically, and irreversibly in the wink of an eye, is a set up for kidnappings and torture. It doesn't matter how well people hide their keys, that exposure will still exist. You might think you are relatively safe in the United States or the UK, if that is where you are from... but many Narrators will be from countries where such extremes are more...

So.....I guess I'm fine with giving users the choice to release what they are publicly making. I think ultimately, if someone wanted to, they could calculate it pretty closely anyhow. It will also help the community emulate successful Niches and content creators, which will benefit the entire platform. To your point....if they want to stay anonymous, even with...

Cool - and remember we can easily reassure people the system is working correctly and honestly by showing each individual their own disbursements in a fully transparent manner. People will know that if there is a problem with the system paying people, they'll hear about it from those people who notice the problem with their own payments. Just like in the real world. Great, thoughtful conversation guys. Just to re-confirm...KYC will never be a requirement, and even if you do KYC, your ID information will not be visible to the public. Although the transaction information will be public (earnings, etc.), you can use a pseudonym if you wish, so if you're concerned about people knowing that you have a large reward coming, you can obscure your identity.

I'll have to wait to see what this looks like in practice. I think this will have to be an opt-in program, not an pseudonym-out program. Many advanced countries have specific privacy laws about companies providing unauthorized access or disclosure of personal information. Even if it's 'just' a pseudonym, and someone were keeping track or watching your pseudonym, a bad actor could cross-reference, or look for changes on the platform that would reveal personally-identifying information.
