Is there a way to view all of the niches I am following?

Christina Gleason ·
I'm "following" a number of niches - some I've suggested, and some others have suggested. Is there anywhere in my profile or in HQ that I can few all of my followed niches in one place? If not, this is a much-needed feature!

Hi Christina, that's something that's coming, but not in the Alpha currently. The best workaround right now is to go to your profile and look at your activity stream; that would at least give you a way to see those actions.

Reminder to Follow Niches, and the less obvious reason why.

Emily Barnett ·
With only 18 days until Beta being launched, it is a good time to remind people to follow niches if you haven't already started too. Not just so you have more tailored content, but also to point out that once our moderator elections will be held hopefully soon after the launch. As I understand the rules, only people whom are actually following the niche will vote for the moderators, not everyone on the platform. I see this similar to a municipal representative, or state election, where only...

I cannot begin to estimate how long it will take, but what i do know is that the people whom have been following niches, voting for content within the niche, and actively commenting stand to make a lot more of an impression as an engaged person for the moderator role than someone who shows up at the last minute. I think it is a good idea to make sure you are following niches. I do hope we don't have to wait too long for the moderator elections to happen. It is a very important part of the ...

Excellent thought @Emily Barnett I've followed many niches already but the moderator elections aspect had not occurred to me. I think you may well be right in how it is going to be implemented, with only the niche's community of followers voting on in the moderator elections. In terms of what we might expect as a delay between launch and moderator elections - my guess is that it might be a couple of months or more. Not only will the team initially be prioritizing bug fixes for the...

Thanks for sharing this @Emily Barnett . I had not even discovered the "follow" button. Now that I know about it, I'll definitely follow a few niches.

Niche followers - we need to know.

Emily Barnett ·
Hi All! I am sure there will be a cornucopia of suggestions...before that happens remember, people seem very pleased. My first suggestion is to list a niche's number of followers, and possibly even who they are. I really think this is important for every level. Owners need to understand their investment. Moderators need to understand the time commitment. Content makers need to evaluate where they want to spend their time and energy creating content. It isn't just about how a niche fits your...

YouTube’s Biggest Star PewDiePie joined Dlive.

https://www.ccn.com/youtubes-biggest-star-pewdiepie-swaps-stream-to-blockchain-video-platform "With 93 million subscribers (and counting) Felix Kjellberg AKA PewDiePie is without question YouTube’s biggest, most successful creator, with an estimated net worth of between $30-$50 million." This cooperation seems to be a huge success for Dlive, also in terms of advertising revenues. May I ask if Narrative will set concrete steps in the same direction? At the current stage, Narrative has quite a...

"Following" should prioritize the feed.

Vico Biscotti ·
Maybe I'm missing something but following someone doesn't seem to have an effect on my feed or home page. When I follow someone it's because I want to prioritize their content. Else, following them is useless. Viceversa, having followers without any prioritization of their feed is just a vanity number, and makes impossible to build an audience. I would add that following should include having optional notification not to miss their content.

When you follow someone, their content is definitely supposed to be included in your personal content stream (the "home" page feed). If that is not happening, it would be a bug. One caveat, if your personal settings are set to only show high quality content or to exclude low quality content, then your personal feed will take that into account. Could that be an issue for you?

Re: "Following" should prioritize the feed.

Vico Biscotti ·
In fact, I had "exclude low quality" set. Now set to "any quality". I don't notice much difference but I have also to say that most of the feed makes sense (people or niches that I follow). Only a few articles are about authors or niches that I don't follow but I guess other criteria apply. Either I was wrong when I checked my feed a few days ago or something improved. Anyway, now it seems ok. Thank you, @Ted !
Question

social sharing

Katherine Sophia ·
Not sure if this is a suggestion or question but can we add the ability to email and share to pinterest and or instagram ? Or is this already a thing and I'm missing something. Specifically, I am speaking of adding those link share icons and maybe even some follow icons as well that might be able to be changed to make it easy to follow the Niche owners or Niches, Author of individual posts. I am not very technology knowledgeable, I know I am not the only one either, so the more straight...

Yes would be nice if viewers had more choices to share posts they like to other platforms besides twitter and facebook.

Re: social sharing

MOLLY O ·
@Katherine Sophia . We prioritized the share feature with social platforms that focus on content - and they support full attribution of the content. You can email very easily (although not through the share function right now) by just copying the URL for the content post. We may add more share options later. Feel free to offer up as suggestions.

Include in Notifications the ability to follow a post's comments

Malkazoid ·
Hello all, Right now, the only way to know there has been a new comment on a post, is if you are tagged by it. It seems intuitive that Notifications will include a post's author being able to receive notifications if a new comment appears on their own post. While Notifications are still in the design and development phase, I'd like to suggest we include the ability for any Narrator to subscribe to be notified of new comments on any post. This will greatly increase engagement and facilitate ...
