Hello, The new alpha rocks! So this is the first little glitch I've seen: if you go to the tribunal page, then click to display the 'Completed' appeals, you'll see the ICOs appeal listed. The ICOs niche was rejected by the tribunal as a clear duplicate of the existing ICO niche. Yet the phrase: "Voting has ended. 0% of the Tribunal voted to reject the Niche." ... appears beneath this listing on the completed appeals page. It looks like it is just a logical error in the phrasing, and probably...
Hi everyone- You may have thought it strange that no one seems to have a reputation score greater than 69 currently. Well, we wondered why too, and identified a bug in our code that was suppressing scores. This bug affects everyone, but because it only has to do with one part of the reputation formula, some are impacted more than others. So, that is the bad news. The good news is that we have already fixed the issue (in our development environment) and plan to roll it out to everyone when we...
Hi, I'm not sure I understand the mechanics of this bug completely, but to replicate, start composing a post, then switch on italics with Control + I or Command + I. Type a few letters then hit enter while still in italics. On the new line switch out of italics and start typing and hitting enter, typing and hitting enter. You should see some weird behaviour arise with font size and/or line spacing.
How it's possible for 2 users to have the same community rank? If I see @Garden Gnome Publications, he is on #13 rank with 12,112 points and @mrgoodsett is also on the same #13 rank with 10,729 points at the time of I'm writing this. Points difference is based on their valuable inputs and likes that I can understand. But how come both users have the same rank?
There was probably an update to the coding that screwed up with some spaces, especially before and after mentions, but also in the profile for the users, as far as I can see: If I'm not mistaken there was a space both before and after AussieNinja . No spaces between Joined and July . Just an heads up.
I too experienced problems with italics. In particular, I remember that copy/pasting from elsewhere removed spaces between italic and normal. Just tried now and, italic just disappeared, or part of the text was cut...
The italics feature is really wonky. I waste a lot of time fighting with it. If I put the attribution too close to the quote, it comes out in truncated columns. If i try to delete the quotation marks, the whole quote deletes ... plus what's mention above ...
While we're at it, related bug is that divider lines disappear and reappear whimsically, when deleting lines above and below them. Sometimes they only disappear in the display of the draft, but are there once you publish. Sometimes they end up absent from the publish too, if I recall correctly.
You're talking about here on the support site? This is not powered by Narrative. It's a completely unrelated software package. But he appears to be sitting near a pool, and given that it is 101 degrees F where I currently am, I feel jealous.
Yes @David Dreezer you got it right. I'm talking about this Community site. As you can see 2 users are having same rank, this doesn't bothers me but I found it awkward. So just shared it if we can fix that.
Lol.. I just asked to correct it but why we completely removed it? It was a good matrix to consider about community contributors and their efforts. I think removing this wasn't a good move at all. I must say I'm little bit disappointed here.
No @David Dreezer this is not a distraction. If community rank is useless then why we have placed it in first place? We all know it that we wanted community activities during alpha and ranking was much needed part of it. I know that alpha is ended and rewards has been distributed but considering it useless now doesn't fit for it. At least we including newbies can see that who are the top community contributors based on that. I raised the concern because it was valid. 2 users having the same...
Sorry to be joining this discussion so late, @BloggerKrunal , @David Dreezer , @Garden Gnome Publications , @Vico Biscotti , @Drixx Madison I'm troubled by the approach of removing the ranking, just because it has caused a bit of confusion. The ranking serves a real purpose. It is one of the most direct means of judging how active Narrators have been in community discussions. This metric should be very relevant to Moderator and Tribunal elections. Narrators have been contributing their ideas...
Hi Allan, Definitely a bug, thanks for catching it. It's been logged but I don't have an ETA for when the fix will go out. GO ahead and create your content without tagging it to a Niche, then as soon as the bug is fixed I'll post back here so that you'll know when you can go back through and tag your drafts to your Niche.
The Appeals area is definitely still a work in progress. We have some improvements already in the works for that area. Because only the Tribunal has to actively use that area, it is has been a lower priority. Agree though that the current language is quite convoluted.
As the support system software and site ranking issue is not a Narrative platform bug I will be closing this ticket. There is an existing suggestion for discussion, Vico has linked to it in the post immediately previous to this.
Hello @Ted I raised this issue with @David Dreezer few days ago because I was observing for days that all users' reputation scores were freezed and not moving forward. Now I'm happy to see that team is working on it to fix it soon. Once it's fixed, I hope everyone's actions/efforts (plus or minus) through out this period will properly get judged and reflect in their updated scores.
Nuno, What browser are you using, and more importantly, what extensions do you have, and on which platform? I can't repeat the issue with any of the browsers that I'm trying on my mac or on my android. We haven't done any work in this area lately. Do you have a new extension installed, or has one updated recently?
Strange, but yes, I've had issues with BitTube Air Extension before. So, browser: -Chrome Version 77.0.3865.90 (Official Build) (64-bit) with: -BitTube Air Extension -Metamask -Good Twitter (to correct the issues on twitter caused by BitTube Air Extension) Nothing else out of the ordinary, I believe.
And no issues installing them. I don't have a BitTube Air account but I can sign up for one. I think though, we're pretty sure that Narrative doesn't have a bug. How do you have these settings set, Nuno?
I disabled all extensions, BitTube, Good Twitter, Metamask and still I got this issue happening in chrome. So I tried Firefox and, surprise, surprise, same thing. So, I'd bet it's because of the Chinese character defaults in Asian computers.
