Updated Roadmap - Beta now March 2019

MOLLY O ·
It’s been just over a month since we released the updated Narrative Alpha , completely rearchitected with a new infrastructure and user interface that will serve as the basis for the beta. This fundamental revamp of the platform has set us up to deliver more consistently in the future. Although we previously were targeting a Beta release by the end of this year, we have adjusted the timeline and we are confident in our ability to meet this deadline. We are anxious to share all the...

is a Weekly Update possible ?

christian ·
Would a weekly medium post or blog post update with whats happening with new hires, front and back end development work, PR, and other news? Brian stated today that they are up to 14 members on the team but im not sure anyone knows that. same day and same time gives people something to read every week and actually makes a content trail for new people to go through as they decide if this project is worth investing in. Its just my $0.02 as i see most other projects supporting the community in...

It is true, I see other projects with really great status reports to the community, that also have much less volatility on their public telegram. Projects that are also struggling to get onto better exchanges and where the token valuation is not what people want to see. I think you can make a correlation here that more information about the project results in early stakeholders remaining more patient. I for one would love to see a weekly "what is happening behind the scene" report. For me it...

I have seen monthly newsletter updates work best, usually as a tweet with a link to a medium article. You want to have enough meat to make sharing it more impactful. There can be other announcements along the way too.

i agree and have the same. IT has worked and is simple. This is somthing that a crypto currency advisor or expert might bring to the table. I feel that some people do somethings very well...and when you find someone thats experienced in the space it becomes second nature for a company to lead the way or match the leader in crypto space. Its new, and if you dont keep up with the current you can get rolled under water quickly. ive lightly asked about that but gotten So much Flack from admins...

I think a public relations specialist is a good recruitment. It obviously falls into Marketing, but with so much expectations being placed on the project, combined with the general public's lack of comprehension about crypto currency I think, this type of specialist is very important.

I'm fully supportive of this. Regular pings make all the difference. Even though I'm committed to supporting the project through to launch and beyond, I was not immune to the positive effects of seeing photos of the new office, and reading about the new recruits. This is crucial stuff. The Team is doing a lot of it right, already - but I wonder if what is needed is a more public, go to place for this news that gives it more visibility? Where the updates don't compete with the rest of this...

Hi. On the right hand side of the narrative.network website is a tab that says "Get Updates". Click it It's our newsletter. It's not weekly, but it will be regular. And yes, we could do a better job making that discoverable. We'll look into that.

i do see the tab but when i click is open a place for me to do my email.. am i in the place your referring too>? The current Narrative medium doesn't have any of the company info and weekly updates linking articles and showing the progress for the community to follow.

here is an example of what others are doing on a particular day every week. https://medium.com/datawallet-...ch-more-f855049d5eb5 and here is the content that new people see when they scroll down to ALL the weekly updates. They see the content and follow the progress to make decisions on investing. https://medium.com/ @DataWalletHQ This particular company is similar as they tumbled down post ICO with bad timing on the bear market low. 70% they were down and now through communication and...

yes a round up would be very good to have. Honestly I think there needs to be WAAAY more communication, and not in the way of crowd control on Telegram. But progress reports, press releases, and round ups like the above link....How on earth are people going to write and vlog about Narrative. Besides staff announcements and Exchange listings we have had no news. How much has been collected from Niches so far? How many Founders are there? How many Patrons? How many niches have been paid for?

Brian had said they now have 14 people on the team...so thats at least Some news and worth of weekly update material. The entire idea is to keep the company accountable to the investors in a way thats acceptable by the community as a whole. A community that i respect and appreciate for making the world change through market speculation. Giving Narrative the possibility to enter a space with investors with cash in hand and a willingness to take a chance on a lot of unknown people with little...

Michelle! Sorry for the late response! It is awesome to hear you're from that world. There is a bit of a pattern here... I read that @MOLLY O was previously with the EPA in what sounds like a pivotal role. I think I sensed this about Narrative from the moment I encountered it: that the people behind it are folks who know the world can - and does - change on a daily basis - and know we all play a part in how it does. It isn't idealism - it is realism, and those who don't realise it give up...

Narrative community forum update

At first I thought I clicked onto a different page, then I noticed that we received an update to the community forum and it looks great. No longer does this forum look like 99% of the others. :)

I finally can see what you were talking about Cara - looks like it is just the landing page that has changed? I was always going directly into lower levels of the hierarchy and didn't see it for quite a while... I agree - the change makes a difference: much more welcoming with its big icons for each topic. I've made some observations about the design style here: https://community.narrative.or...n-style-observations

@IcesickBrowning . It took us longer to architect and build the new infrastructure than we expected. We also took time to create a streamlined deployment process. We now have a strong foundation in place to move ahead more rapidly now that the architectural challenges are behind us.

Some things on the non-crypto related parts of the platform, such as: -How UI design elements are considered. -As well as more on underlying software/web technologies that will power it. The majority of users will eventually just want to socialize through their personal journal and post content to Niches and reply to others, so an intuitive UI is key. They may not even know what a blockchain is, and may get to see NRVE as a simple rewards system without caring that it's a key element that...

Just got an email containing a... Narrative newsletter. "Welcome to Narrative News" Thank you for all those on the @Narrative Network Team who made this happen, and I look forward to the next one. We've been hoping for better communication of this sort - it's great to have it. As for the newsletter itself - I enjoyed: well written, succinct and hitting a lot of different developments.

So - incredibly stoked by the second newsletter. I haven't finished reading it all yet, but wanted to jump in and talk about it as a visual experience. I think you're doing a stellar job at picking and placing images that speak to 'quality'. There is a richness in the tones, an originality in the editorial decisions (the owl: TERRIFIC) - the aesthetics speak to our ethic of aiming for quality. But you're pulling this off with out it feeling stuffy, or elitist. If you can keep this up, and if...
