Tips for Getting (Readers) Engaged with Your Content

Melanie Mathos ·
It's Valentine's Day, and love is in the air! But how do you get readers to share the love for your content? What exactly is “engaging” content anyway? Many use vanity metrics such as likes or favorites as a baseline metric. Some dive deeper to quantify by shares or comments. Others actually look at conversions that resulted from a piece of content. (Follows, signups, sales, etc.) The definition of engaging can encompass many factors. One of our favorite takes on the meaning comes from...

Has this happened to you? Great, you've got it out of the way. Don't worry about it - try to...

Absolutely!!! I think most of us have had a failed niche for one reason or another. Lot's of times I think excitement is the biggest culprit. There is a lot to learn here, but super fascinating, every step of the way!

Ongoing patronage

Malkazoid ·
Another helpful suggestion from a certain Edward Morbius on Google+ (he moderates on the Google+ Mass Migration forum): ongoing patronage. I agree with him - this is something I think the @Narrative Network Team might want to take a close look at. I know we have plans slated for tip jar functionality already. But if we take it a step further, and allow people to pledge regular support to their favourite content creators, we'd be really taking it to another level, and replicating part of...

Good, right? As well as being supportive of creators, it also boosts the demand for NRVE.
