@JerrodBelcher - in case you didn't see @Christina Gleason 's comment on the niche approval page: if you suggest the improved niche now, before the other niche is rejected, you can beat the lock out! Of course you'll still be locked out eventually (unless the Narrative Team make the necessary changes), but at least you'll have snuck in your new niche suggestion beforehand!
So here is a question that just occurred to me.... given that the team hasn't waded in to the conversation about reputation and the reset that is meant to take place tonight or tomorrow morning, which was news to us. (you can read more here if your don't know what i am talking about. Your reputation going up :-) or not :-( ) Does this mean that our rank number is being reset or the whole community board? @Narrative Network Team please clarify.
Hi, Wanted to bring to your attention that I suggested a niche named Get A Interview but described my music mix show in the body of the niche suggestion. Which I should've put in title as well, it should've been Get on the Dj BME Mix Show. Is it a way we can edit or change title before it gets rejected out? Or is it a feature that can be added? I want to push that niche and my brand at same time. @Malkazoid and @Emily Barnett gave me some good pointers on it...
I’d be really surprised if the whole board were being reset... I haven’t seen mention of that anywhere, and it would defy all reason... Everyone, including the @Narrative Network Team , have put way too much effort into these discussions, compiling a wealth of information for everyone, to wipe it all?
Ah - I see. My guess is, even if there is no high level function for resetting activity points and ranking, a quick command line database operation could accomplish it. Let’s see what happens. Fingers crossed (I’ve been saying that a lot, huh - the suspense of it all)
I am getting annoyed. None of this should happen. We get pushed aside for the newbies as a way to be fare? We paid, we contributed, and now we are relegated to obscurity in the name of fairness. This will take the "steam" out of narrative. Whit
My hope is that at some point in the next few days, once the @Narrative Network Team has had time to properly assess, they will decide to port all of the discussion forum topics and their contents to a Narrative Genesis niche (doesn't have to be that name of course). Then our reputation can be built by running the actual production-ready reputation algorithms on that real Narrative content. The young network gets a big leg up in terms of initial content which will probably generate...
Can I ask for the grace of a day on this discussion? It happens to come at a time when we are actually opening up our physical office, onboarding two new team members, and moving our CTO across country (while still working on Narrative itself in the background). I promise I will post a full explanation of the points system in this community tomorrow. Thanks for understanding, and thanks for your passionate support!
Hello Jerrod Thanks for posting this on the forum! I think the most important aspect of your request, which is one that has come up before, is that you know what needs fixing, and you want to fix it... but because the Alpha does not yet give you the functionality, you can't do it right now. I completely understand that the @Narrative Network Team has to stick to their development schedule and may not yet be able to include the functionality to submit changes to niche suggestions,...
For what it is worth. I voted yes for this niche. I trust that Jerrod, wants to fix it, and i don't think it eliminates the possibility of blocking something else, even if he doesn't fix it. It seems to me he wants to purchase the niche. So maybe the solution is to vote yes and have faith it will get resolved.
That's a really difficult consideration: I can see the value of doing so but think of the ramifications. A) it would be kicking the can further down the road, and we're doing that a lot, on a lot of fronts. Jerrod isn't the only person suffering from not being able to make fixes, and lots of people are being locked out from suggesting niches for 7 days, unnecessarily. Just upvoting sends the wrong message to the Narrative Team: something systemic is in dire need of fixing here - and one...
Hi Maelstrom, Put in one of the reset codes where the text box is for the 2fa code. The reset codes should be 6 digits just as the 2fa codes are. Just use a reset code in place of the code that the 2fa app gives.
