Ether Cash: Bubble

Jayme Soulati ·
Seeing the current Bitcoin fluctuations, purportedly a bubble, can you tell us whether Etherium is affected by this and how it will affect Narrative, if at all?

Stop complaining about exchanges and help build a massive narrative community.

Daniel Kamara ·
I have only started to get heavily invested in crypto for close to 2 years now. But what I have learned in this short amount of time is that what makes a coin/token succeed is the community. So for the people who complain about when exchange or why the price has gone down, all you're doing is help create more doubt for possible investors. I was definitely one of those negative people who doubted Bitcoin back in 2009. I looked at it as a joke. I had friends and family ask my opinion on It and...

@ Narrative team, please explain.

https://alpha.narrative.org/niche/ripple-xrp Why is there a Niche called "Ripple - XRP" Those are two different Niche's. Not all Ripple news is connected to XRP. Ripple is a company. Just like Satoshi Nakamoto is a person. Not everything that happens in Satoshi Nakamoto's life has something to do with Bitcoin. If I create an XRP Niche it will probably be rejected by people who still call the token Ripple. I would describe it uniquely yet most people would only see "XRP" and the already...

If you have an issue with a Niche then you should appeal the niche to the Tribunal. Don't ask us to explain, we didn't create it, vote for it, buy it.....

Appealing did not work. So I ask for an explanation.

There already was an appeal for that niche and the Tribunal voted to allow the niche. I am on the Tribunal and can tell you why I voted to allow it (though I cannot speak for others). There were no grounds to reject it. It was unique, it did not violate the terms, it was in English, etc. I see that niche being about the XRP cryptocurrency, since it is called "Ripple XRP". That means that someone should be able to create a different niche that focuses on Ripple as an organization/entity or...

Thank you, I agree with the decision and I agree that additional Niche's that are similar (yet unique) to that one should be allowed. It's nice to see the Narrative team so active in the community.

Michael Farris ·
Thanks @Daniel Kamara for a ++ perspective. As we've been posting since day one of the ICO, the value of NRVE is in the active platform. There thousands and then millions will be using NRVE for all fees, rewards tips, advertising and more. It's the economy there that drives value. Those looking for quick returns in the opening days of exchanges, are, with respect, looking in the wrong place! Look ahead. The real question is not so much "when exchange" as it is "when platform?" For that we...

Hear, Hear. well said @Daniel Kamara ... I absolutely agree with you. It is so difficult being on telegram with so many FUD-de-duds, just acting so miserable. I think we need an army of positive people to get on telegram and talk about the constructive things that they do each day to build up Narrative in order to drown out the self-sabatoge that seems to be taking place. Thanks for the great post.

It is hard to miss that the vast majority of the folks in question are in this for a quick buck. The crypto multi-bagger crowd. It's not pretty, to be honest - that level of greed, but ultimately I think it will cause many of them to pass by one of the sounder investments in the cryptocurrency space - Narrative. The smart money will go to working products, as opposed to pump and dump coins. The gains are less eye-watering in the short term, but the chances of success are higher. I expect...

Thanks Emily - I'm easing back. The non-virtual world is demanding a lot from me: I hoped for some down time after this last trip but it just isn't in the cards. Good to 'see' you again!

Re: Ether Cash: Bubble

Hi @Jayme Soulati - all cryptocurrencies are subject to pretty large price swings. It's just the nature of the beast. It's not uncommon for a cryptocurrency (whether it is a large on like Bitcoin or a smaller one) to go up or down by 20% or more in one day. You just always need to keep that in mind if you hold crypto. It's a rollercoaster! That said, if you look at the price charts over the long term, it's been a steady climb. Personally (and this is NOT investment advice), I do not think...

An example of the rollercoaster. Most coins way up over last 24 hours: Ethereum up about 20%, Litecoin up 77%. The flip side, of course... on a different day, these could all be red figures.

Jayme Soulati ·
So, essentially, crypto is like stocks or gold. You buy to invest long term and hold the 'product' (for lack of a better term for now) in your portfolio EtherWallet. The second way to look at it is for something like Narrative, then. You buy Ethereum to purchase tokens to invest in a new channel/platform or to purchase other things that require/function on crypto. Am I getting this, Ted? Is that correct at all? P.S. Thanks for your reply and also, please take another selfie. You look really...
