Roadmap strategies

TommyX ·
I have some points which might have been clarified already in the whitepaper, but what is your overall strategy when it comes to market approach? How will the roadmap resonate with growing the presence in the market over time in order to compete with established products? I think it is definitely a great idea, but with great ideas there is need for even greater long term strategies. Thanks for the clarifications and Good luck!

Hi @TommyX ! Great question...and one of the big reasons we are raising funds is to ensure that we have marketing resources and infrastructure to compete at the highest levels. Our market attack is three-pronged: 1) influencer outreach (which is already underway) so that major content creating influencers come over to Narrative and bring their audiences with them. 2) Member-get-member viral loop built into the onboarding process for Narrative (and when people start talking about the money...

Thanks for clarifying Rosemary. A definite winner, if this will catch momentum and if the team will stick to it. To be honest there is also a bit of luck needed to launch features at the right time and in the right place. Many projects failed because they were launched at the wrong time, when trust in new crypto based projects was low and they just got forgotten. Speaking about economics, I think ads is a multi billion business, but you need traction and critical mass, which is to say,...

Re: NRVE Market Value

Brian Lenz ·
Hey @Gerbino ! We will evaluate the situation once we are listed on an exchange. There are a lot of factors that potentially play into it (velocity of the market, price stability, API availability, and more). I can't say whether NRVE will have the ability to be listed on switcheo any time soon. It appears they are dealing with issues adding python-based NEP-5 tokens (which NRVE is). We'll certainly provide updates as we have them, but we can't speculate on the future regarding exchanges...

NRVE Market Value

Gerbino ·
Hi guys. At the moment, there is no market for NRVE so I understand it’s pegged to NEO. Let’s say it is listed on Switchneo in the next couple of days, would you use their mid-market price as the market price, or would you wait until NRVE hits coinmarketcap, and use that rate (which I guess should be the same if only on one DEX). Hopefully the price will be such that Patrons only with 300 NRVE will be able to bid on a niche!

This is why I put on three neo instead of one. I am hopeful of picking up one niche with that and having a tiny bit left over to help someone else maybe get their niche.

Yes it doesn’t seem fair. It was in the plan to be listed on at least one exchange by now. I understand that the speed of the exchange listing process is not under the control of the Narrative Team, but, taking this into consideration, I personally I think the amount of time that you have to pay for a niche should be extended until you can purchase NRVE from an exchange

No such hindsight here, played it too safe it appears. If I can't bid on a niche with my meagre amount of tokens, what else can I do with them?

Re: NRVE Market Value

Maybe the Neo will miraculously spike therefore lowering the minimum bid. Failing that...many niches do seem to be looking dormant...soon even the founders will be out of or low on tokens (probably who knows how much someone bought) but they too are in the same boat (unable to purchase more). Hopefully when the exchange does become open, the team will give a window of time for the patrons to top up their wallets before opening the community up to the public.

me too @MichelleG not enough to be a founder, but much more than the minimum so that I had some room to bid. Happy in hindsight.

The team knows how important it is to be on an exchange as soon as possible so more NRVE can be purchased for the auctions. I’m sure they will be happy to not see ‘when exchange?’ on Telegram anymore.....bring on ‘when binance?’!

If someone is in need of NRVE to purchase a niche maybe a NRVE whale could help them before the token hits exchange? Private sale? I don't have enough to help until I see whats left after bidding on a few niches.

Hi @Rosemary this is great to read. Not sure if you are aware of Philip De Franco on youtube. He is a massively followed youtuber....very smart...and currently very unhappy with Youtube in connect with the Adpocalypse that is happening on the platform. Anyway...I think in your reach out to major content creators you should reach out to him asap. He is undergoing a major expansion to create a huge production studio, and announced last week before he took a break from his daily show, he said...

Time to spread the word about Narrative...collectively.

Emily Barnett ·
I know that we are all doing this already on an individual basis. So good. Great youtube posts, medium articles, and interviews. fantastic. I am starting a new youtube channel as well...hope to have some stuff to show later this week, that i think will help Narrative spread the word as well. It won't be Narrative specific but obviously a big part of my focus...in researching for my content, I have been looking at many other platforms, and i am discovering some really interesting things. In theory, yes it makes sense...but our competitors are not waiting. Also we got involved with a coming soon message only, so will others. Also the volume of our community even if it isn't posting on anything but the community page and telegram certain must have some correlation to the value of the NRVE token. Likewise can be said for attracting advertisers initial interest. More people begets more people. Everybody wants to be at the right place at the right time. People have missed out...

I like the community targeted upvote strategy....that makes a lot of sense to gain more visibility on some of the more popular platforms. The same could be done whenever Narrative posts on various platforms are released, we should get everyone together to 'like' comment, upvote, etc. I like the idea of coming up with these ideas and strategies now, but in terms of implementation, I feel like we need at least an initial release of the platform so people can post content and see how it works.

This makes sense! And now is the time to be buying niches - that much is possible. Perhaps we should time this sort of outreach to coincide with as soon as a viable exchange with rapid sign up is available? Like that folks can immediately go buy some NRVE, join the this forum and the Chaucer Alpha, and get into it? How should we coordinate the community upvoting? It feels like a calendar web app would be well suited for this. Anyone from the community can place a release date and time for...

Secondary Market

Whitmal ·
HI, Suggestion: A feature to resell a niche using NRVE. The would allow a niche owner to put a niche back up for auction and to sell privately . -Auctions would need a minimum bid option* Reason_ Life Things change and perhaps an owner looses the time needed to maintain a niche. The ability to unload to a willing person is key to keep the "narrative" engaged and vibrant. Whit

Re: Marketing and exchanges are they connected?

Ted ·
Don't worry... we have plans for promoting Narrative, and more specifically niches, since that is the focus of Chaucer. We need to get the word out about the purpose and value of niches and we plan to do so. Our goal is to have lots and lots of niches that have been claimed in advance of the launch of the beta so that users have a plethora of subject areas to express their interest in (and post to). As for exchanges... the primary purpose now is to provide liquidity so that people can use...

Marketing and exchanges are they connected?

Emily Barnett ·
Good morning Narrative peeps! So I read an interesting post on telegram this mornning from Andrés not sure if he is on the community board or not. He mentioned that from a marketing standpoint these small exchanges send out the wrong message, like a Ferrari dealership opening up in a low income neighborhood. Misplaced. So this got me wondering from a marketing standpoint if Narrative should be pushing hard to spread the word so that new token purchasers can get involved? Or, should the team...

Not yet. We will continue to limit access to token sale contributors for now. We want to give them time to acquire more tokens so that they can fully participate in Chaucer and purchase niches. I'm guessing that will continue for at least a few more weeks. We're still working through our plan for expanding things beyond the token sale contributors and will announce those plans when finalized.

Thanks @Ted direction from you guys is greatly appreciated. Can you clarify something for me. Now that we have exchanges for NRVE can newcomers get onto Chaucer to purchase niches? or is that still only for Founders and Patrons?

Re: Marketing and exchanges are they connected?

Madhanic ·
Am I right to say they can only purchase the niches in the beta phase? And I think more awareness and publicity should be done. Like the ease of getting information about Narrative, what the token is for, especially for people who have not heard of Narrative. edit: Do we have one of those charts where we compare eg. Narrative with steemit? (like those where people compared oyster with dropbox, google drive etc)

Any Marketing Plans to create a Narrative Bounty?

Emily Barnett ·
Hello @Narrative Network Team, Has the team considered doing a token incentive Bounty campaign for signup, twitter, youtube videos, articles, etc. you could add that it has to have been promoted to a certain number like 1000 followers. such as a video needs to be tweeted via an account with a 1000 followers or posted on a subreddit account with over a 1000 followers. to ensure you are getting your tokens worth of promotion. Some bounty campaigns reward early promotion with a bonus...

I've literally been messaging Melanie about bounties this morning, haha. I think we still have the potential to be rewarded according to the terms of the airdrop: "The Narrative Community managers may also apply points to users at any time (or, for troublemakers, remove points)." It's just not the same form of payment as a bounty, and that's okay.
