A welcome thread for new members

Bitsurfer7 ·
Hey Guys, to get started here i think we should all know each other a bit better. So i’m starting, my name is Manuel. My crypto pseudo name is always Bitsurfer. I love to creating new content and share it to others for free. I’m an active member of bitcointalk, reddit, discord, telegram, facebook and twitter. I just changed my personal instagram account to a site where i review ICO’s and share use of crypto in the real world. We all should spread the word for $NRV So let’s start folks

Sharing a post from a niche I own wants to put the blurb of a different niche in the FB preview!

Malkazoid ·
Hello! I just tried to share a great post from the Spirituality niche. I own the niche and wanted attract folks to both the post, and the niche. But the FB preview only allows as a blurb, the description of the first niche the person tagged the content to, which it turns out was not mine. This seems like a shortcoming because niche owners are wanting to promote their niches more than the niches of other people - of course. Ideally one would be able to flick between up to three options for...
Question

social sharing

Katherine Sophia ·
Not sure if this is a suggestion or question but can we add the ability to email and share to pinterest and or instagram ? Or is this already a thing and I'm missing something. Specifically, I am speaking of adding those link share icons and maybe even some follow icons as well that might be able to be changed to make it easy to follow the Niche owners or Niches, Author of individual posts. I am not very technology knowledgeable, I know I am not the only one either, so the more straight...
Issue

Inconsistent Social Sharing Support

Willem Van Zyl ·
At the moment, content shared to Flipboard, Facebook, and other networks sometimes use the default "Narrative: The World's Online Journal" page title instead of the title of the actual post. This seems to be intermittent, but it would be great to have better support for sharing (Flipboard, for example, cannot import the featured image for posts at all).
Suggestion

Proper onboarding is just a small tweak away

Malkazoid ·
Hello Team, When we share great content from Narrative on Facebook, Twitter, etc... and some of our followers come to read the content on Narrative, if they try to upvote or comment, see the signup form, and give up, they are unlikely to try again next time. The decision - that their desire to vote or comment is not worth the time of a potentially lengthy sign up - will tend to endure. We are squandering the social networks of our active users. This is not a renewable resource. Every time...

Do you know Andreas Antonopoulos? He's what we could call a "blockchain evangelist" and I really like the vision he has about it. You can find his talks on his youtube channel .

I am a minister, a counselor and a mentor. I have a wonderful wife and three children. I spend a lot of time with people and counsel them during their sorrows in life and give them trust and hope. I am not perfect -like every person I have battles to win. I was invited by a friend through Facebook to join NARRATIVE! Like most people, I was a bit skeptical about this “new” offer, since new offers appear every day in the internet world. What I found was an interesting concept, but to be honest...

Hello! My name is Sarah (@Raven) and I am super new to the crypto world. I am excited to learn more! I was drawn to Narrative because of the content creation aspect and the new take on an online community that rewards quality contribution. (Yay!) I am an Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbal medicine practitioner. I have a small clinic where I specialize in addiction recovery, mental health, & pain management. I also do some small scale importing of moxibustion products from Japan. I’m...

Welcome Sarah! I'll certainly follow your Acupuncture niche, and may even find something to contribute now and then. Acupuncture helped me a lot recently with shoulder pain. I was fortunate to be referred to a very highly recommended acupuncturist in Guelph, Ontario - where we visit once or twice per year. I was impressed with the practitioner in many ways beyond the relief the treatment brought. I'm not sure if it was his training, or just his natural disposition, but he was far more...

Greetings! I am a content-driven individual, starting in the early days of Yahoo groups. My finger is on the pulse of content! I am driven by what specific subjects and categories are hot in the narrative world. As a content writer at heart, I nearly came off my couch this morning when I saw the ad in my Facebook Feed. I am excited with the opportunity that Narrative offers and plan on becoming a Narrative Niche Entrepreneur at most and a content writer at least! Just waiting for my time in...

@Malkazoid Thank you so much for the response! I am so sorry for the incredibly long delay! That's wonderful that you're a fan of acupuncture! I think that the niche actually got acquired by someone else after I suggested it (I've gotten stuck on my attempt to acquire NRVE). I'll have to try for some of the other niches once I figure out my crypto haha. Hopefully I'll be able to create some content for the niche though! I love to hear stories about people's experience with acupuncture. It...

Whoa. This is cool. It's nice to be noticed. Thank you. I'm here because I love the creator-first mindset. I haven't really done much since signing up because it feels like everyone's primarily focused on the crypto-blockchain, niche-auction, revenue-model stuff moreso than content creation. It's neat, but I'm not interested in any of that; just interested in publishing someplace where the content—and content creator—is valued, and can maybe make a little money in the long run. I've never...

My name is Matt and I'm into a little bit of everything. I work on my family's farm (specializing in strawberries and raspberries) that was started by my grandfather. I am also a PC/network technician and own my own business. If that's not enough, I am also running for city council in our upcoming municipal election. Hi! I've been in the web business since the early 90s and have been an early adopter to all things 'web' and 'social media' ever since. Of course, being involved in all the social medias can really burn you out and one can quickly lose interest from the futility and superficiality of it all. When I finally quit using almost everything a few years ago I realized that the next 'big thing' was going to be the reputation/content economy so Steemit got me REALLY excited! It wasn't long, however,...

Hi everyone, I work in the vertical farming/urban agritech industry, in a variety of ways. I also maintain an active interest in solutions to the problems the world faces, of all types. It's about time! I live in Scotland, not too far from Glasgow.
