The first opportunity you'll have to use NRVE tokens in Narrative will come when we release Chaucer alpha on March 29, and you have a chance to bit on owning a Niche. No way to use NRVE here in this community.

Connection with other platforms

Jeroenski74 ·
Hi @Ted, I just have spoken to David Walter from iMusify and told him about the Narrative platform having the same filosophy rewarding content creators! I'm especially interested in connecting the two platforms since I'm preparing use cases and incentives for my content creators on the Lyrics niche. He's also interested in how this could work. Maybe other niches also have a wish to connect to other social or other platforms, what are your idea's about interconnection and will there be...

As a musician, composer and music producer (my main solo music project is named "Taphophilia"), I am very active on every crypto-music site I can sink my teeth in. I already registered to iMusify, about a month ago, and am looking forward to the ICO in August! The thought that there might be cross-platform connectivity sounds very appealing to me, it would bring a dynamic never before seen in the crypto space...

I sure believe we can! I also am a Musicoin ambassador, a DSound moderator, have an account on Choon, am registered with Inmusick, another upcoming blockchain based music platform, as well as hodling $MN8 tokens that I got from the pre-sale of the soon to be public Emanate music platform ICO, another great project in the works. I am also keeping a close eye on many others still in gestation. I also invited many other musicians to gather here, through my diverse social networking endeavors, a...

Steemit, maybe is an anoying topic for the narrative team but..

Hi guys, i've been thinking about the obvious similarity of narrative to steemit and have some suggestions to all the narrative team: There's a lot of platforms today with the idea of change the social networking as we know until now, and all of those platforms shows an incentive, they catch people by offering an decentralized community of content creation and earnings for all the contributors, That's awesome! the best part of that is the proyects go to the convencional social media and grab...

Re: Steemit, maybe is an anoying topic for the narrative team but..

chrisabdey ·
I don't think Narrative is anywhere near close to being like steemit. There are a lot of differences. First and foremost which will be a make or break is the fact that narrative shouldn't allow those stupid bot nets. I don't think we should worry about steemit and our network is actively working on taking people away from there, which isn't too hard for anyone who is serious about their content. Many of them have discords etc in order to keep track of their groups.

Funny thing... I had stopped using Steemit because it just wasn't doing it for me, but learned about Narrative on the 'Steemit' Subreddit, since I hadn't unsubscribed yet. I plan on using Reddit extensively to bring in Narrators.

Twitter and Facebook have coexisted, I don't see why Steemit and Narrative can't coexist and even benefit from each others existance. That being said, steemit really needs to get it's communities function in order and get rid of those bid bots. I will be using both and I'll put more time into the one that has a more vibrant community and where my work is most appreciated.

Build a platform connected to Narrative

We don't need to leave the future of NRVE tokens up to the Narrative platform alone. You could create a new use-case for the token yourself, by either creating a platform that will use NRVE tokens, or even accepting them on a platform that already exists. Personally, I am determined to create at least one major use-case for the NRVE token, because I believe in Narrative and I want to be a big part of it's future. The possibilities are endless. And each new use-case will add value to the...

On Narrative: The Need To Go The Way Of Medium

Ogochukwu Onyema ·
Hello Everyone. This is my first narrative post and I wanted to use it to address the core concern that I have for this platform. Blockchain platforms have been hailed as those which has come to democratize the opportunity that online platforms provide people. The joy of blogging on a platform where you are free to express yourself to the fullest is one that we have all enjoyed over the past few years starting from Steemit. Don't waste your time online, spend it on Narrative This is a quote...

Fantastic post, Ogochukwu. Welcome! You might be reassured to know several voices are pointing towards Medium as a good standard to hold ourselves to. As I understand it, there may still be some disagreement as to how that standard will be attained on Narrative. I think the Team puts a little too much faith in the wisdom of the crowd, and the reputation system they are crafting. Both have their merits, but if Narrative achieves superb quality this way, they would be the first to manage such...

Thoughtful comment filled with Insight @Malkazoid This reminds me of a saying I love so much: You don't achieve goals by pushing power up. you gain more by pushing authority down. Just like you said, I believe that everyone has a role to play, maintaining the integrity of this platform is not something that can be achieved by the Narrative Team alone. Every Niche owner and Content creator have a role to play.

You should be seeing a social share toolbar at the top of this page....or is that not what you're talking about? Watching this conversation has been exciting for me, seeing the level of commitment, passion, and insight that you guys show. Knowing that Narrative will be self-governed, it inspires confidence to know this is the foundation we're building from.

5 things I really like about the Narrative platform. But first a confession.

Emily Barnett ·
Over the last 14.5 months that I have been waiting for Narrative to go live with content publishing capabilities, I have been a genuine advocate for the platform, but at some point after alpha was launched, I and others, seemed to have fallen into a whirlpool of good intentions by trying to make suggestions that would improve the platform. Graciously this community platform was provided to us, to voice whatever we wanted. I think that is terrific, but it did give many people, myself very...

I hear ya @Emily Barnett . I consider myself a spitballer-- here to test and give suggestions. Narrative isn't my project and I'm not going to be precious about it. I consider myself fortunate to be involved to the extent I am in this 'new frontier' of social media and am going to work within the confines of the Narrative platform. Like you said, not everything is prefect at this point; to me, that's just part of the challenge!

A very timely thread indeed. To answer the questions asked. 1) I like that Narrative aims for decentralisation and quality. There are some tensions between these two goals, and we'll see how things develop on that front, but the goal is noble. 2) I like the types of people the platform has attracted so far. By and large, the existing community members are exactly the kind of people who can form the core of a committed community who believe in the democratic and open nature of Narrative. 3)...
