I am looking to shortly purchase a niche. What has peoples experiences been buying niches? What have you purchased and what are you looking to do with it? Was the buying process simple and slick? More questions than answers on this, but really interested in peoples experiences and reasons for buying particular niche's. Help a noob out
Greetings, I just noticed that even though there are links to Latoken and Bilaxy, there is not yet a link that leads potential $NRVE buyers to Switcheo! I think that should be remedied, don't you? P.S.: I'm talking about the "How do I pay for my niche?" section, on the home page of the Chaucer alpha.
As part of recent musings on how the economy will get its best start, I keep coming back to the roadblock represented by having to use exchanges to purchase NRVE. The @Narrative Network Team made a smart move allowing people to purchase niches using Paypal. As new sources of income on the platform develop, and after the next site update brings us Reward Points accounts on the platform, it would make sense for people to be able to purchase Reward Points/NRVE with Paypal. I believe niche...
Hi, Now it's time to start making decisions. According to my research, some narrators want to invest the rewards NRVE in the acquisition of niches. I know we cannot yet withdraw the NRVE from our Narrative accounts, just in July. So I would like to suggest, if possible, that the Team might consider developing a way for narrators to buy niches with the rewards, directly on the platform. Thank you
My apologies if this issue has already been raised or being worked on... But here is my input: As of now, there are nearly 2500 niches up for auction. And this amount will no doubt increase over time. I've noticed a number of niches I would have liked to use as tags that still haven't been purchased and so cannot be used as tags. So, on one hand, it would be nice to see these niches being purchased, but on the other hand, having too many available niches on Narrative might lead to reducing...
This is my first ICO, but I am going to admit that I was riding with training wheels on...My husband helped me out a lot. It's not his first rodeo. However I do still feel the pride...very much like making a cake!
@Emily Barnett and @Sergei congrats on the ICO's. This is a very exciting for many of us, kind of like when the Internet first began. Looking forward to seeing you guys and gals in the ICO's Niche, there are some good ones coming down the pipeline.
Thanks for the heads up @mrgoodsett when my hubby gets on here I am sure he will be a regular of the ICO Niche. I will say, he paid me a real nice compliment that I will pass along...He said to me tonight "ya sure there are tons of people speculating on ICO's, but not so many digging deep into the utility token ecosystems to make them work." So I think we can all share that compliment.
Neo is my favourite for ICO's, only the cream of the crop of ICO's get onto NEO. Etherum on the other hand seems to be a free for all! The other thing for a newbie that is great about NEO ICO's, is the use of the NEON wallet, this makes it SO easy. Purchasing Narrative ICO's was an absolute dream. I even managed to convince a few non-crypto friends to get involved when I demonstrated the Neon Wallet I love NEO, and I love Narrative!
I absolutely love NEO. I think you have to pay $20,000 in order to be able to hold an ICO on the NEO blockchain. Helps to prevent all the silly ICOs I guess. Also, the NEO Council sounds pretty supportive
I. Love. This. Idea. Seriously, I am going through the learning curve and am not thrilled with the number of steps and care it will take to convert and move this. And I like learning this stuff. Many of the potential content writers I know (and yes, many are nontechy and very old school) are having trouble wrapping their heads around all the steps (probably much the same way people did at the turn of the 1900's with how to wire money from one place to another. Once it is mastered it seems...
At the very least, it would be worth looking into creating a CDP, where people with other forms of cryptocurrencies could deposit to earn NRVE. As I understand it, this concept is also a way to stabilize the value of a currency. I'm sure I have over simplified this...but hey, I can dream.
One thing to note is, while there are many Approved unpurchased niches, many of those are extremely small to be worthy right now. Someone told me after 6 months, a niche that isn't purchased is deleted. So this should already be in place.
Thanks Sol Cycler for your detailed feedback. Regarding your following comments... - If a niche is approved, we should be able to link to it: I agree it is inconvenient at the moment not to be able to link to niches that would better fit the content of our publications compared to niches that have already been purchased. Yes, it could be a good alternative to allow posting into these niches to give them a better chance at being purchased. - To oblige a suggester to bid for a suggested niche...
Couldn't find this piece of info, but I found this Suggested feature: https://spec.narrative.org/docs/niches This reminds me. Niche suggestion WAS limited to one per day. Now it's open, and the small fee is not in place. @David Dreezer Sorry to tag you, but is this intentional, or any chance the limit removal per day is a mistake?
Hey! Well, we made the change to allow o nly Medium Rep (or higher) members to suggest Niches or file appeals. ( link section G) The limit for one suggestion per day is not yet implemented. It HAS been implemented for bidding. (section B of link above) That was in response to the situation where a new (and likely a troll) user ran up auctions that he or she did not intend to ultimately purchase.
What has peoples experiences been buying niches? My experience has been smooth making bids receiving e-mails on my bidding status. What have you purchased and what are you looking to do with it? ECONOMICS Topics related to the behavior and interactions of economic agents within the wider sphere of society. ENTREPRENEUR The official niche to discuss the strategies, beauty, pain and stories around creating a fast growing startup or small business FICTION From six word stories to thousand page...
PLEASE! I am NOT a crypto enthusiast. My past attempts to buy NRVE were stressful and frustrating. Coinbase doesn't let you transfer newly purchased crypto to an exchange for something like two weeks! So... I've only used NRVE once. Fiat the other times.
Would be marvelous! I stopped the whole crypto thing with Coinbase, and my Neon wallet is still empty. Terrible experience with Coinbase support, and I'm not interested in spending more time in the whole thing, at least not until time will be good for me to buy and use NRVE. At that point, any straight solution would be GREATLY appreciated.
I don't know anyone else has experienced this or not but I found PayPal with additional fees less costly compare to buy the Niche with NRVE after having multiple crypto conversions. I tried with crypto once but it took me almost an hour to finally purchase my Niche. So I never choose that path again. I think many ones might be stopping them selves to deal with such crypto surrounded platforms just because they had to deal with all the hurdles of keeping wallets, multiple public addresses,...
Earlier last year, I thought I had to buy NEO first in order to buy NRVE. Turned out I needed to exchange the BTC to NRVE directly. Stupid rookie mistake on my end. I never experienced major problems with Coinbase for the 2 times that I used it to buy BTC. I used bank transfers to give them the fiat, and it took around 2 to 3 hours for the BTC to arrive after that. I was able to send it to my local wallet immediately.
Absolutely! I completely agree. As for the SEC, I think if Narrative simply allows USD to NRVE purchases, that should be fine.Where the regulatory hurdles might get stiff is when you allow other crypto to NRVE purchases. The more you allow the more you'll look like an exchange. Offering USD to NRVE purchases does make sense. Of course, I'm no lawyer, so this is not legal advice. But, at present, there are no crypto regulations. I do expect there to be some in the future. That is something to...
