How do I recover my account if I have lost my authenticator app?

This happens occasionally. Lost, broken, or upgraded mobile devices are part of life.  As long as you still have the backup codes that were generated when you enabled two-factor authentication you can recover your account easily.

If you've lost your authenticator app but still have your backup codes you can use any of them in the login screen to log into your account.  Each of the backup codes is a one time use, so once you use a backup code it can never be used again.

Once you have logged into your account with a backup code you can disable two-factor auth, log out, log back in again, and then set up two-factor auth with your new device.  Remember to backup the new set of generated backup codes. The old list will no longer work.
