Since releasing the Reputation feature in the Alpha, we noticed a bug improperly rewarding/demeriting some actions. We did not fix this at the time because there were no consquences to the actions anyway. This was intentional as we studied and reviewed the reputation model as a whole.
With the Certification/Onboarding release that occurred on February 21, 2019, we updated the reputation model significantly as well as the bug that we knew existed. The primary change is that we eliminated the SimpleRep component and replaced it with Conduct Status that is 10% of your reputation. Conduct Status is basically a trip wire for negative behaviors. You can read more about it here.
With these changes, everyone's reputation score should change. As we continue to study behaviors, we may tweak the model again. The intention is to continue to make this a great quality platform for real people.
