Suggestions and Issues Should Be Posted Here

Service: Narrative

Since the Narrative beta launched last week, we've seen many people posting issues and suggestions about how Narrative functions on Narrative itself. While there is certainly nothing wrong with that, if you want to get the Narrative staff to carefully consider each issue/suggestion, this support community is actually the best place to let us know.

We have lots of tools built into this support community that allow us to track, discuss, assign, and implement changes. And this is the area where we manage those ideas and issues. None of those tools exist on Narrative, because Narrative is not designed to be an issue tracking platform.

Thus, I encourage everyone to post to this site when they have new ideas, suggestions for improvements, or bugs/issues that they want us to consider.  It will it much easier for us to track everything and to have more thorough discussions with the community about each topic that way.

We do not monitor each post made to Narrative, but we DO read and track every single post made to this support community. Thus, if you feel strongly about something, this is the place to let us know.

Again, this does not mean that you cannot talk about Narrative on Narrative, but mentioning us or members of our team there to get our attention is actually counter-productive. If the item is not posted to our support site, it's not going to get the same level of attention.

I suppose we can use the various Narrative community niches to discuss among us members the best way to present any given issue or suggestion to the support community for the greatest effectiveness in communicating the issues.

Hi @Ted I'm wondering if some members don't know, or have forgotten, the support site is a separate site and has to be logged in separately, too.  On my home page the support link is visible, but on the platform, scrolling hides the footer - maybe a button that stays up top somewhere would show up better, and remind members?

Yes! This is actually a big problem. I'll try scrolling down to click on the support link, but then it loads new posts, and I have to scroll again and hope I can click quickly enough. The support community link should be on the top navigation or part of a floating sidebar, which we really need.

I posted a few days ago asking if this could be fixed ... am hoping. For now I just type the addy in , but for newer users, I think it would get more questions, issues and suggestions over here instead of on Narrative.

Absolutely, @Ted. Narrative is anyway a conversational place where issues can arise and be shaped among members, but I always try to finalize my requests/suggestions here.

Sometimes it may be necessary to ask attention (not necessarily participation, of course) from the team to a conversation on Narrative (I did it myself). This should be clearly not abused and limited to serious cases.
