A welcome thread for new members

Hey Guys, to get started here i think we should all know each other a bit better.

So i’m starting, my name is Manuel. My crypto pseudo name is always Bitsurfer.

I love to creating new content and share it to others for free.

I’m an active member of bitcointalk, reddit, discord, telegram, facebook and twitter. I just changed my personal instagram account to a site where i review ICO’s and share use of crypto in the real world.

We all should spread the word for $NRV

So let’s start folks

Original Post

@Bitsurfer7 Nice to know more about you thanks for sharing.

I am new into the crypto world, started couple of months back & learning it in bits n pieces. I have done couple of successful ICO's while learning this market.

Apart from crypto I am an Executive Search Professional & running a outsourcing Firm Nectar Solution catering to the various needs of clients from UK, USA, India, Australia.

Regards

Rushikesh

@Bitsurfer7 @Rushikesh I, like my unencrypted username states, am Bryan. This is my first foray in to the world of crypto-currency — or any type of investment for that matter.

I think the thing that has attracted me is the end goal of the Narrative platform. I am really flexing the old brain on the content I intend to generate and any niches I might be interested in managing/owning.

Community-learning and collaboration is what I'm excited about, the NRV is just bonus... and possibly incentive for others to port their existing blogs, etc., over to Narrative.

Hi Guys

Like some of you guys,  im new to crypto brought my first crypto in 2014 Doge! wish I had stayed in but came back in start of this year with Steemit late to the party really so was looking for a good platform I can join at the start and along came Narrative : ) so looking forward to the journey and posting!

Harj : )

Hey - I'm Malcolm - thanks for starting the thread Manuel!

I'm an ethical investor - whether in the cryptosphere or outside: mostly interested in helping to grow initiatives that evolve us in positive directions than anything else, but of course happy to profit from making any right choices.

Narrative was a no-brainer!  I look forward to seeing people take ownership of their content, and have high hopes for a fair and transparent moderation process.

My main areas of interest are oceans, environment, documentary film, psychology, languages, learning and education.

I'm hoping we can find ways in which to help Narrative grow together!  Hit me up if there is something I can help with!

Malcolm

Hi Guys,

I am one of those persons who like more to read some good posts and comment them, then to write, mostly because I don't have enough time to focus on writing. I have wrote some blogs on Steemit, maybe one per week and my plan is to post at that pace also on Narrative. I really like idea of Narrative and I hope it will be fun being part of this community. That is why I have invested in NRVE...

Nice to meet you all

Hello Guys,

I am Akshay and by profession i am a Developer. I entered cryptomarket few months ago as i like the concept of blockchain. I am learning lot of new things in this world. In short period i studied the ups and downs and know which can be  better options to invest and make money. Narrative Platform is one of them. Their concept for Sharing your views and make money of that is awesome.

Good Evening Everyone,

My first name is actually Phil, not Crypto. I am far from being a tech person.  I own and run a Building Maintenance Service that caters to Universities here is Southern California.  Basically when the kids move out for the summer, my crews go in and renovate the apartments and/or dorms.  Repair, Paint, and clean the living quarters.  You can only imagine what some of these rooms look like after one school year.  I been doing that for 4 years now.

I had heard about bitcoin when it had first came out, but was not interested.  My youngest son when he was 11 even wrote a paper for school on Bitcoin. (My wife helped.)

I finally dived into Crypto last summer (2017) my middle two sons kept talking about it, they are 21 and 23.  Of course I was very skeptical at first, thinking "if you can't touch it, how could it be worth anything?" Now I am an enthusiast.  I try to learn more and more about it.  Don't ask me about codes and algorythms, because that it all another language and I am far from bilingual.

My first job in High School was for a Grocery Company bagging groceries moving up the ranks to running stores. That only lasted for 25 years.  Then I moved to another company to run their stores and that was another 5 years. I tell you when corporate takes over, it sucks.

My other interests include coaching youth basketball and flag football, been doing that for 28 years.

My main goal in life is to be a possitive influence on people I come across.  Whether it be through mentoring, educating, saying "Hello, and just make people smile.  Being possitive is contagious.

I am looking forward to Narrative going live so I can try to be a possitve influence on the members of this platform.

Hi Phil, your main goal in life as you said of being "possitive influence on others" is working on me! thank you phil.

I really enjoyed reading your post on your experiance with Bitcoin and work history/coaching.

I wish we had all got in really early with Bitcoin and others but we are in early with the new movment of where we are now especially with Narrative which is amazing.

Welcome to the community Phil! Im following you

Hey everyone…..Let's get this thread moving again..it was buried. We have a lot of new community members that have joined in the last month. This is a place to introduce yourself.

We look forward to learning about each of you! Post away!

Hi folks! My name is Wes O'Donnell and I am a public speaking and charisma coach and content strategy manager. I'm also a professor of predictive analytics and a crypto-infant.

I was attracted to Narrative not for the NRVE but for the idea that content creators get rewarded in this new content economy. Looking forward to engaging with the community! Yes, I'm using my real name and real photo here as I'm a minor public figure in the veteran community; may as well own it.

Cheers!

Hi Marty,

I'm wondering if it might help to make this thread a 'featured topic', so it stays at the top of the list of topics?

Excellent idea! Thanks Malkazoid

Welcome Wes - I approached Narrative for similar reasons!

Whoa. This is cool. It's nice to be noticed. Thank you.

I'm here because I love the creator-first mindset. I haven't really done much since signing up because it feels like everyone's primarily focused on the crypto-blockchain, niche-auction, revenue-model stuff moreso than content creation.

It's neat, but I'm not interested in any of that; just interested in publishing someplace where the content—and content creator—is valued, and can maybe make a little money in the long run. I've never really been one for actively monetizing my content (at least, not effectively, anyway), so I'm currently on the sidelines listening for anything related to content creation—ideally within a niche where the niche owner is in it for the content and fellow creators moreso than a source of revenue.

I'm very much the business exists to make a difference—profits follow—school of thought. Profits follow results. Greater profits follow meaningful results.

You know, if anyone was wondering why I haven't been more active. I was really excited to jump on this thing when I saw the ad on Instagram, and even moreso when I saw the second round was opening up at 1,500 (and I'd signed up at 1,490 or so.

From a content perspective, I've been publishing Gearbox Magazine since 2009, Work Life Parallel since 2015, and work in customer success for a freelancer-first SaaS startup called ClearVoice. My background beyond these is account-based content marketing, B2C eCommerce, data center operations, and higher ed curriculum development.

Lots of potential here. I'm fast approaching a major reorganization of my publishing efforts, so I'm watching to see how things here shake out so I can maybe diversify some of my content efforts in this direction.

Thanks for noticing me. Really cool. Don't stop believing.

Hey everyone! My name is John Ravan. I'm a software developer and a professor of Computer Science at The Citadel in Charleston, SC. I graduated from The Citadel in 2011 with a B.S. in Computer Science (Lima Company) and then an M.S. in Software Engineering and Information Systems in 2014. I also serve as the CIO of Global Leadership International which is a non-profit based in Charleston, SC focused on leadership development in Kabul, Afghanistan. I'm currently in the dissertation phase of my Ph.D. in Computer Science through the University of South Carolina. My dissertation topic involves concurrency control within web service database transactions

I love all things technology and more directly how technology can impact and be the cause of positive change.

I have a 2-month-old little boy which has been a blast!

Check me out at theravans.com! Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi, I'm Steven Stahlberg, lead artist at a game studio in Kuala Lumpur.  As a workaholic artist for over 50 years I'm recently trying Patreon and Steemit, and now Narrative, to see if maybe I can make something back from all that time (mis)spent creating.
Like for instance my graphic novel

My name is Matt and I'm into a little bit of everything. I work on my family's farm (specializing in strawberries and raspberries) that was started by my grandfather. I am also a PC/network technician and own my own business. If that's not enough, I am also running for city council in our upcoming municipal election.

I try to do some weight training a few times a week, and I play volleyball and badminton as often as I can.

Hi!

I've been in the web business since the early 90s and have been an early adopter to all things 'web' and 'social media' ever since. Of course, being involved in all the social medias can really burn you out and one can quickly lose interest from the futility and superficiality of it all.

When I finally quit using almost everything a few years ago I realized that the next 'big thing' was going to be the reputation/content economy so Steemit got me REALLY excited! It wasn't long, however, until I decided the 'gameification' of the platform was not for me.

Now on to Narrative! I truly believe that the formula that the team has put together here is a game changer. The focus on community and UX with a hint of reward is exactly what I (and I believe, many others) need to get excited about using social media again!

BTW, that's not me in the painting, just a painting I did. I should probably change that

Hi everyone,

I work in the vertical farming/urban agritech industry, in a variety of ways. I also maintain an active interest in solutions to the problems the world faces, of all types.

Unsurprisingly then, I see Narrative as a potential solution to the issues with social media currently. I am hopeful that it can be something really special that can have a genuine impact on this. It's about time!

I live in Scotland, not too far from Glasgow.

Hi!

I'm Nikola and I'm from Belgrade, in Serbia. I'm studying electrical engineering and I'm strongly interested about artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and stuff like that, which probably don't mean much to non-scientific world. I'm currently finishing my college and I hope I'll get my diploma by the end of this summer

Beside that, I'm a big fan of art and I love going to museums and exhibitions in my free time. I used to play volleyball as a kid, but now I'm some kind of fitness freak and I'm all into that aesthetic bodybuilding. Also, my hobby is collecting music and I'm in love with hip hop, jazz, soul etc. We can say that I'm an universal geek lol.

I entered into the crypto world about last December and soon I've registered on Steemit. I've always loved to write things and to be some kind of creator but somehow let's say that I didn't have the right medium, until I found Steemit. I've connected with a lot of interesting people there, and we also formed our Serbian community which is getting stronger every day. Many people which I know on Steemit are Curie curators, so that motivated me to enter into some Curie curation training course after which I'll be the official Curie curator.

Shortly after, maybe in April, or May I've heard about Narrative and I started exploring the Internet about this project and I liked what I've found, so here I am, waiting for that beta release with some new, interesting people.

In order to get to know me better, you can check out and follow my Steemit blog on this link https://steemit.com/@nikolanikola . I'm not so active right now because I'm a little  busy  in a real life but I'll blog again as soon as I can.

It's cool that you noticed me, I'm happy to be part of this Narrative community

Hi all,

I also host a live audio/visual show called "Radio Evolved" on DLIVE, Sundays at 20:00 UTC. Come and join the fun, everyone is welcome!

Look forward to interacting with some of you in the near future!

Welcome Erik - happy trails with your explorations of the western States.  I did something similar in Australia for 18 months back in 2006-2008 and the memories remain some of the most powerful, beautiful and indelible I've had the pleasure of collecting.  If we had some drinks before us, we'd toast to freedom.

Hey I'm subash from Nepal. Thanks everyone for inviting me to your platform. I'M a student persuing my undergraduate degree in environmental science. I've got info about .this through my friend. I'm myself a blogger too and I was engaged in steemit a blockchain platform you may know about it. And I was looking for more a great and preferrable platform. Hello There!

I´m cryptocurrency investor from Finland. Currently working as ICT-Specialist but my dream is to make my living for crypto related things. I haven't quit my job yet but some day maybe I invested Narrative because i´m huge supporter of NEO platform and narrative is one of the projects running on NEO. My target is to buy max amount of niches and try to find good moderators to maintain those. I´m not that good writer to make epic content. Yes i like beer!

Most of my crypto porfolio are in these, Bitcoin,Ethereum,NEO,Cardano,OmiseGO,ICON

You can call me Z.  I write songs and stories and build community.

I'm a huge proponent of pay-what-you-want and want to see this culture grow to a point where it doesn't seem so idealistic and dreamy.  I believe that we should feel free to just do what we are passionate about and I hope that in the future there will be more people who use more of their money to support those who they think are doing valuable work even if there is not a direct exchange going on.

I am happy to give my stories and songs away for free, not because I don't think they are valuable, but because I trust that others will be able to see the value in my work  and want to support it even when they have the option to enjoy it for free.

I have a Patreon page where I share all my work, starting with a collection of short stories called Confession of the Damaged.  The stories are about the invisible strings that tie us to each other and pull us from one place to the next, and a place called The Village which exists in many incarnations.

www.patreon.com/ipluseverything

My music will be up there soon :-D
