Hi there, I am Mahesh Shrestha from Nepal.

Everywhere on the internet, I go by @Mass.  I have been creating contents for free on the internet, in fact, I've 1.8K followers and 7.4M answer views on Quora itself.

I am a civil-engineer-turned-gadgeteer, who enjoys binge-watching series and being on the interweb.

Hello, I'm Tom from San Francisco. I'm a live sound engineer and freelance environmental writer & journalist. I've been writing for online publications for more than ten years (here's my portfolio page if you're interested). I've also published numerous blogs over the years.

I am here because I am looking for a better way to build a platform around my writing and the issues for which I care about most. Being a freelance journalist and publishing blogs have presented me with numerous opportunities - hundreds of interviews over the years, interesting press trip all over the world, etc. What hasn't worked so well is building a consistently viable platform to build my own audience (as opposed to helping others build theirs).

I am pretty new to blockchain technology, but I am intrigued by the possibilities it presents for "crypto-journalism."

I look forward to participating in the project and seeing where it leads.

As I say on one of my blogs "We are a storytelling species." To the extent possible, I believe we need to define our own narrative, not let it be defined for us.

Thanks!

Tom

I'm here because it's obvious Narrative is innovative and is going to be extremely successful.  I love the model and it's the perfect place to start writing and sharing images.  I feel like a kid in a candy shop  I love to read, write, kayak, watch birds, make pretty much any craft, draw, paint, make graphics, work with people and spend time with my family!

Hello, I'm Thomas. I'm definitely new to the whole content creation game, but I like Narrative and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds! I'm a husband and father, and right now I'm a social worker but that is definitely not what I want to be doing long term. I studied psychology and have a master's of science, and I plan to continue my schooling to earn a doctorate; I am thinking Neuroscience or something closely related. It's nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone! It's great to be part of this community.

My background is Information Technology, but I've transitioned to personal investor a few years back. I'm also a busy father.

To start, I believe there's a massive amount of value in this network. By 2030, it's estimated that automation will leave up to 1/3rd of Americans jobless, and according to Forbes, up to 50% of the American workforce will be freelancing in some way, shape, or form by 2020. I don't wish to belabor the obvious, but if you extrapolate this pattern worldwide, networks that reward content creators will almost certainly become the norm.

Anyways, investment mindset aside, I'm also involved in a few other projects involving biotechnology, genomics, distributed computing, etc. I'm an average guy that's interested in a many different subjects.

I watched a Youtube interview with @MOLLY O, and I agree that it should be really exciting to see where owners/moderators/creators take this platform. I hope I can add value to Narrative and meet some new friends in the process.

Cheers!

Mike

Second that! Seeing the growth of the platforms like Steemit, Scorum, and now ONO, no wonder Narrative has a bigger part to play in the future of the undeniable to-be-norm!

Hi everyone! Thanks for welcoming me here. I'm Meredith, a former work-a-holic marketing exec from San Francisco. I now live in Colorado and focus most of my time writing: I'm working on a novel, and I have a few short stories in progress as well. I still consult on marketing projects for clients when asked, and I also run a Rodan and Fields skincare business as a side gig. (Hmm...guess I still am a work-a-holic.)

I'm excited to be a part of the Narrative community. When I first heard about the platform, I thought it sounded like a combination of Wikipedia, Medium, Civil, Quora, and some sort of forum / community / social network all wrapped up in a new platform that actually compensates members for participation. Overall, I think it has great potential - giving members the opportunity to establish themselves as subject matter experts while also getting compensated for generating compelling content. I also am quite interested in seeing how the blockchain will help keep the content honest and accurate while still enabling members to be creative.

I can't wait to get started when the beta launches. In the meantime, I've suggested a niche already, and if anyone is so inclined, please vote in favor of the Lyme Disease niche in the ballot box. It's a topic I'm all too familiar with, and I think having a niche on the subject could be of help to new Narrative members who are battling the disease.

Thanks, again, for the welcome, and I look forward to seeing you all on the platform! Cheers, Meredith

I'm a semi retired marketing professional with interests in horses, music (I'm a barbershop singer http://barretonesvt.com/) and most anything RV related. I'm dabbling in a number of things – blogging, transcription, crafting plastic model horse decorations to see what I might retire to. I joined Narrative not knowing if this would work for me.  Come to find out there might be more here than what I thought. Somebody commented about porting your blog here. I have a couple blogs. I'd heard of Steemit before, took a look at it again. I have some interest in the crypto world, learned a little about it. I think it's great. Never heard of Patreon til today either. Now I gotta figure out how to start posting...

Hi,

I'm Bashar from Kuwait. I'm a developer, tech enthusiast, gamer, and hobbyist photographer. Currently I'm working on Skirmish (http://skirmish.io), a game development showcase platform. And also want to dive into game development myself.

What I love about Narrative is how it's aiming to fairly compensate content creators. As one thing I despise from many platforms is how they lock the user in, keep his valuable content, and provide nothing in return. Trying to pick niches I'm really interested in and can provide for here.

Pleased to be among this community.

@Patti Walbridge Welcome to Narrative Community. Just want to clarify that our alpha (Chaucer) is focused on Niches only. Posting content will be available in the beta release later this year.

Great to read about some of you folks!  Welcome!

@Meredith - I voted for the niche you suggested.

All diseases with a less than straightforward diagnosis can spell a very difficult journey for those who suffer from them, and any resource that can help that phase, as well as treatment and coping, ends up being really important to those who find it.

Welcome!  Excellent job pointing out that the content always belongs to the creator.  One other place even goes as far as to not even let you see content you've written if you are no longer a member.  Despicable!

Narrative is certainly refreshing.

My name is Anedo and I am an Italian web manager. I would like to develop editorial projects. My experience is long standing, I deal with the web from the first moment when the service has become public in Italy, so I'm a bit 'of years.
I am passionate about philosophy.

I'm trying to understand the social impact that blockchain technology can give, above all the aspects related to decentralization.

But I'm neither an enthusiast nor a hypercritical.
On the one hand I do not delude myself that any new technology is able to solve the problems of our society (culture), on the other hand I am not so fearful of the new, indeed somehow attracts me and fascinates me to experiment alternative routes.

One of my goals is to exchange ideas and to start a comparison for the development of my professional projects related to publishing. But I'm not thinking of Narrative just as a place to offer editorial content and earn through the platform itself, but above all as a place of relationship for the creation of working groups in this sense.

My idea, but I will talk about it, is that the creation of quality content can have new professional opportunities in a society in continuous transformation and full of contradictions.

I am a minister, a counselor and a mentor.

I have a wonderful wife and three children.

I spend a lot of time with people and counsel them during their sorrows in life and give them trust and hope. I am not perfect -like every person I have battles to win.

I was invited by a friend through Facebook to join NARRATIVE! Like most people, I was a bit skeptical about this “new” offer, since new offers appear every day in the internet world. What I found was an interesting concept, but to be honest I wasn’t sure if this idea would work!

Narrative shares so many profits with us!! It looks like a utopian charity company with great aspirations! Everything in life is a matter of trust - who you trust and why. Narrative is also a matter of trust. But what if it doesn’t work? Nothing! You don´t lose anything, but you have a platform, where you find new friends and valuable information! That is why I joined Narrative!

I have a dream,

I hope that Narrative will be a platform for a better world, borders, orders, a friendly world where we remain friends, help each others, laugh together, cry together, feel with each other. A world, where we create without our hands, but rather with our minds. What I am a bit scared about is the fairness of the community. People are not fair, they are egotistical. This can lead to the evaluations not being fair -- judgements are made according to looks or peer pressure. This is just my impression. What is your opinion about this?

My desire is that narrative community will be a world of inspiration, charity, love and trust!

Yes, it takes time, creativity and patience, but it is worth it.
