Niche names with special characters and searching

So there's a good chance that because of the special character not coming up in search, your niche has not been purchased yet... despite it being the broader niche, and the most correctly spelled one... if I'm understanding you correctly?

I'd say that's really worth fixing!  I might be missing something, but do you think it would be solved by simply making 'é' a positive match for 'e' in searches?

If regular expressions are being used, it would mean using a function to pre-process the search string, and replace all 'e' characters with [eé]... 

I recently tried to post something with an apostrophe and the system made me remove it before posting. I chose a lesser used word, but it was pointed out in a comment.

Oh, the system didn't allow the apostrophe? (Pretty sure it was my comment you're referencing. LOL.) Yeah, apostrophes are important. I know it probably has something to do with the coding involved, but quotation marks are allowed and apostrophes are not? Quotation marks are never really needed in niche names, but apostrophes are parts of actual words, so this is a bit of a problem.

Ya it asked me to suggested that characters aren't supported. I have noticed other apostrophes though, on published niche titles. Maybe you can publish it anyway. I just didn't risk it being poorly coded and changed the title.

@Malkazoid Yes, those were exactly my thoughts, and what I’m suggesting. 

@Christina Gleason The niche suggest page states that & ( ) - : ; " , are the only special characters accepted in niche names. However, all diacritic marks appear to be accepted.
